Five-year-old logic... PRICELESS
Jack and I were on our way to his school the other morning, where we drive past Castro Valley High school. Our timing was bad because it was right when lots of high schoolers were on their way to school and crossing the street we were driving on. A group of 7-8 guys wandered into the crosswalk without looking to make sure that they were seen by the cars. I was quite annoyed with that. Then Jack piped in, "Mom," he said, in a very disapproving voice, "those boys weren't even holding hands!"

We spent Memorial Day morning picking berries at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Christina (our neighbor) joined us. There is an abundant crop this year, so we each picked a huge bowl! YUMMY!

Open House
We enjoyed an evening in Mariana's 1st grade classroom. We got to see many of the things Mrs. Prince and the students had worked on all year. It's so exciting to see all their skills improving - their handwriting, math, reading, art, spelling. They're ready for 2nd grade!
Mariana and her friend, Loriana.
It's hard to get a "regular" smile when you're having a fun time hamming it up!
