Mrs. Prince (in the black top) is getting everyone settled in

This is my first posting! We are in the full swing of school and our fall schedule. It's busy, but kind of nice to be in a routine.

Mariana started 1st grade at Valley Christian in Dublin and is loving it. Her teacher is Mrs. Prince and she's great! Mariana loves school and it's so fun to watch her bound up the school's steps with a smile on her face, ready for a new day. The first day of 1st grade was MUCH easier then the first day of Kindergarten -- for all of us!

Jack started a new school this year! He just turned 5 in
August and we decided to have him go to a pre-Kindergarten class this year, and he'll join Mariana at Valley Christian next year. He is at Redwood Forest Preschool, five mornings a week, in the Honey Bears class (pre-K) and loving it! I was so impressed the first day of school -- he went right up to some boys and started playing with them! He's definitely his father's son in that regard!

Last week, as I was dropping him off to school, I asked Jack, "Are you going to have a good day at school today?" He replied, with much exasperation, "MOM! I always have a good day at school!"

I am busy, back enjoying teaching piano lessons at home and leading worship/attending Bible study at Cornerstone. I've managed to cut back by a few students and I've stopped leading worship for the evening study at church, so my weeks seem more under control. Just dropping off kids and picking them up at noon and again at 2:45 can make for busy days!

Christiaan is uber-super busy at church! He's enjoying his first day off today in about 4 weeks! He's looking to fill several positions on his children's staff, and is putting in a lot of overtime to make sure everything's covered. It's stressful, but God is faithfully enabling him to do it -- in our weakness, HE is strong!

More to come later...
